A yokai saved Japan from plague three centuries ago. Now she's loose in the TikTok era, solving modern crises with the same supernatural confidence that worked in the Edo period, except nothing translates. The show understands that the funniest thing isn't the joke, it's watching someone completely outside the current moment try to help anyway, convinced her method is universal.

Amabie once rescued people from a plague back in the Edo period. Now she returns to earth in the turbulent Reiwa era, where she rescues one person after another through decidedly unorthodox methods. This third season of Sakuretsu! Amabie-hime is a short-format comedy made of standalone episodes with a surreal, cynical edge. Its rotating cast includes a stream of voices drawn from the influencer and livestreamer world.
