A guy with amnesia and a pair of scissors becomes the best assassin on an island by accident, then spends three seasons pretending he's not actually good at killing people. The comedy lands because it never sacrifices the character work, even when the plot gets genuinely weird. Season 3 stops joking around about who Wu Liuqi really is, but keeps the same deadpan energy while dismantling everything you thought was safe about this show's world. You watch a comedy turn into something that matters without losing its sense of humor. The pacing occasionally drags in the middle episodes. By the time you reach the Xuanwu Kingdom, you're invested in a story that could've been nothing more than stylish slapstick, but chose to be both funny and unexpectedly human.

Wu Liuqi sets out from Xiaoji Island with his companions Dabao and Xiaofei, hoping to keep the islanders and their peaceful way of life safe. The three travel to the Xuanwu Kingdom, where Wu Liuqi means to learn the truth about who he is and to find some way to save the island. More mysteries and adventures lie ahead of them. The season runs ten episodes as an online series and mixes action with comedy.
