A kid and his sea lion just existing together, and the sequel trusts that this is enough. Ashibe returns in this sequel to Shounen Ashibe, a 1992 TV comedy that runs for 25 episodes. The first season introduced Ashibe, an elementary school boy, along with his family, his friends and a white sea lion he keeps as a pet. That season was adapted from Morishita Hiromi's four-panel strip in Young Jump. This follow-up stays in the same comedy and slice-of-life territory.
