Kamina gets swindled by a cat girl and spends twelve minutes being exactly as loud and confident about it as you'd expect. The show doesn't pretend this matters to anything, it just lets him be ridiculous in the way that made the series work in the first place. This is bonus material for people who already love these characters, and it knows exactly what it is.

Kamina grows envious when he sees how spotless Simon keeps his Lagann. Wanting his own Gurren to look just as good, he turns to the mysterious Chitori and asks her to clean it for him, never suspecting that she has plans of her own. This one-episode OVA special came packaged with the Nintendo DS game based on the series and is counted as episode 5.5. It pairs mecha action and sci-fi adventure with a comedic tone.
