Seven standalone tales spin familiar faces from Gurren Lagann into different realities. Each episode operates as its own complete story, animated by a different creator with a distinct visual signature. This second anthology of shorts continues the parallel universe idea of the first set, but with a new lineup of GAINAX animators, including Gekidan Inu Curry, Akemi Hayashi and Sushio. Where the earlier shorts reused music from the television series, these come with fresh background music and character songs. It is a Mecha special for viewers curious to see these characters reimagined by individual artists.
