Seigaku is past the point where winning feels impossible, it just feels inevitable. Rikkaidai arrives as the final wall, and the show spends seven episodes proving that obstacle courses exist to be run through, not to break you. Tennis no Ouji-sama stopped caring about realism three seasons ago; what it cares about now is the pure dopamine hit of watching a team you've lived with execute at the absolute peak of their power, one ridiculous shot at a time.

Having beaten Shitenhouji in the semifinals, Ryouma Echizen and the Seishun Academy tennis team reach the national finals. Their last opponent is Rikkaidai, the two-time defending champion and the strongest team in the tournament, which wants a third straight title and revenge for its loss to Seishun at the Kanto Regionals. The winner will be the top middle school tennis team in Japan. In this concluding OVA, the Prince of Tennis faces the Child of God with the championship on the line, and along the way Ryouma sets out to show opponents and teammates alike that tennis means more than winning. The comedy stays alongside the sports drama.
