This is the 90s OVA that actually understood how to pace a story into 45 minutes without cutting corners on character or action. Three girls with real personalities discover their psychic powers aren't magic wish-fulfilment but weapons they have to learn to control, and watching them figure it out together hits different from the usual "chosen one" setup. The fanservice leans heavy on the clothes-disintegrating angle, which dates it instantly, but it never stops the plot or the character work cold. By the end you care what happens to these three because the show spent its runtime on them, not on explaining the mechanics of ESP.

Keiko, Yumi and Mai are three high school girls with psychic abilities: Yumi can move objects with her mind, Keiko reads thoughts, and Mai has superhuman strength. Together they quietly form the Academy Super Girl Team to keep the peace at their school, though none of them has fully mastered her power yet. When Yumi has a frightening dream she takes as a premonition, the trio begin looking into a psychic power research society that has suddenly become popular on campus. The club is secretly working on a way to control the students' minds, and as their investigation grows darker, the girls must decide whether their powers are enough to stop it.
