You already love these characters. Shiny Festa doesn't try to change that. It just gives you three separate afternoons where the girls actually get to enjoy being idols instead of grinding toward the next crisis, and the score makes those moments feel earned in a way the show itself sometimes rushes past. Each OVA picks a different subset of the cast and lets their chemistry breathe without plot machinery getting in the way. It's comfort food, but it's comfort food that remembers why you showed up in the first place.

The idols of 765 Production are thrilled about the International Music Festival on Vacation Island, a resort with an amusement park, until their producer reveals that only one unit can take part. Each of the three OVA episodes, bundled with a different version of the Shiny Festa PSP game, imagines a different group getting the spot. Haruka, Chihaya and Azusa head out with Ritsuko and learn Jupiter is also on the bill. Miki, Yukiho, Makoto and Takane want to sing a love song and try dates with the Producer for research. Yayoi, Iori, Hibiki, Ami and Mami enjoy a day of play before Iori loses her rabbit, Charles. Each group gets a few days of vacation before the concert.
