Renako stops performing and starts existing, and the show stops being about choosing between two confessions long enough to let her actually figure out who she is. Five episodes is criminally short. The emotional payoff lands anyway because every scene exists to show you why these characters matter to each other, not just to confirm they do. By the time Kaho's arc resolves, you understand that this show was never about the love triangle, it was about a girl learning to stop hating herself, with two people who loved her anyway forcing her to finally believe it.

Renako Amaori used to be gloomy and withdrawn, but she remade herself for high school and it worked. Now she belongs to the most popular group at school. Then two of its brightest members confess to her: Mai Ouzuka, the school's ultimate prince, and Ajisai Sena, the campus angel everyone loves. Renako cannot see how she could possibly return either of their feelings. While she stalls on an answer, she learns that Kaho Koyanagi, another member of the group, was her friend back in elementary school, bonded over anime and manga. Kaho is now a well-known cosplayer and pushes Renako to cosplay alongside her, which Renako treats as a handy way to put off her reply. She is reluctant at first, but the experience starts to build her self-confidence, and seeing Kaho's passion up close makes her wonder what she really wants. With the confessions still hanging over her and Kaho making moves of her own, Renako has to decide soon. A comedy romance about learning to accept yourself as you are.
