Makoto Misumi's story returns for a third TV season, adapted from Azumi Kei's light novels with illustrations by Matsumoto Mitsuaki. Makoto is an ordinary teenager pulled into another world to serve as a hero, until its goddess dismisses him as ugly, revokes his hero status and banishes him to the far reaches of the land. In those wastelands he encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves and many other non-human peoples, and he gathers a growing band of misfits around him. Last season, after he beat Mitsurugi and Sofia Bulga, the goddess came to regard him as a rival rather than a mere annoyance. This latest chapter carries his adventures forward, blending action, adventure, comedy and fantasy.
