Prince Ryger leaves his home planet of Emperius to stop a menace beyond its borders and protect his people. Aboard the giant robot Daikengo, he travels through space to bring peace back to the galaxy. Joining him are Cleo, daughter of a corrupt prime minister, and two friendly little robots named Anike and Otoke. Together they battle the wicked Lady Baracross, who commands the invading forces, and her aide Roboleon, who wears a hat in the style of Napoleon. Daikengo has shutters over its mouth: when they open, they reveal fangs like a vampire's, and the robot can breathe fire. The late seventies TV series mixes mecha action with science fiction adventure.
