A one-episode psychological thriller with action, told from inside the narrator's head. The narrator keeps slipping into daydreams about a girl seen mostly from behind, wondering what kind of person she is, what she likes and how she views the world. Occasional close observations of her daily life leave the narrator with a pile of puzzling clues that resist explanation. After much imagining, the narrator realizes that the girl carrying on conversations in the narrator's mind is only wishful thinking, and on the day of a reunion resolves to take a step.
