Miyu kills monsters that prey on human weakness, then watches those humans go back to their small, ordinary lives while she stays alone in the dark. Larva is the only creature that knows what she actually is, and he loves her anyway. The show's real horror isn't the Shinma, it's that saving the world means never being saved yourself.

Miyu walks the line between two worlds as a vampire princess bound to a grim duty: hunting down Shinma, shapeshifting creatures and vampires set on spreading darkness across humanity. As the chosen one, she alone can drive the evil Shinma from the world. She can grant people the gift of lasting happiness, yet she herself is caught between two realms and faces endless solitude and inner struggle. Her sole companion is Larva, a Shinma who once served evil and now guards her faithfully. Together they travel a dark path through the frailty of the human heart and the painful loss of innocence, with Miyu forever both hunter and hunted.
