Thorfinn's hands are already stained before this episode even starts, but watching him step into that house changes what "stained" means. The show doesn't cut away. It makes you sit with the choice between the person he's become and the person still buried underneath. That's the entire series in four minutes.

Released as episode 6.5 of the second season, this short ONA presents a scene left out of the main anime. Thorfinn appears as he was in his days among Askeladd's raiders, cutting down several men in the middle of a raid. Stepping into a nearby house, he comes upon a family cowering inside. The result is a brief, violent piece of action and psychological drama that fills in part of his past.
