You're a kid who just got pulled into a video game that decided you're the chosen one, except the chosen one job mostly involves piloting a giant robot with your reluctant best friend while two girls in your computer apartment keep the snacks coming. The show knows its own nonsense is the joke, so it never stops moving long enough for you to ask if any of this makes sense. By episode three you've stopped caring about the plot and started caring about whether Lamune and Da Cider are going to argue their way through the next mecha fight.

When two odd peddler girls follow Baba Lamunade home and give him a CD-ROM game, his life takes a strange turn. Once he beats The Legend of Lamuness, the girls emerge from his computer and carry him off to DokiDoki Space. There he learns he is the third descendant of the hero Lamuness, and he must stop Don Genosai from bringing the great evil Abraham back to life. With PQ, his robot advisor, and the two shrine maidens Parfait and Cacao at his side, Lamunade must pilot the Kaizer Fire mecha. The machine needs a second pilot, and Da Cider is picked for the job. Together they hunt for the gates to the different zones of DokiDoki Space, meeting new friends and foes along the way, while Lamunade is troubled by mysterious flashbacks. The series blends comedy and fantasy adventure with giant robot action.
