Komugi's desperation to get back to Iroha drives every frame. The movie never treats their bond as cute backstory, it's the entire reason Komugi keeps moving through a video game world that doesn't care about her. A tanuki mascot character who loves so hard she becomes unstoppable, separated from the one person she needs, solving game after game just to find her way home.

Komugi, Iroha, Yuki, Mayu, Daifuku and Satoru gather to play the hugely popular game "Dokidoki♡TanuKingdom!" Just as the fun is about to begin, a suspicious tanuki drags them into the game's world. Things get worse when Komugi ends up separated from Iroha and the others. Determined to be with Iroha again, Komugi takes on game after game and challenge after challenge, and word of a tournament offers her a way back. Why did this happen, and what secret does the game world hold? The clues lie with Natsuki, the girl who made the game. The Precure of Hirogaru Sky! and Mahoutsukai Precure! also appear in this magical girl movie.
