You're watching a prototype that shouldn't work. A soldier from a combat AI tripod materializes in a fantasy world with a magic sword and no explanation, and the show just commits to it like this is the most natural thing that could happen. The pacing is genuinely weird, the dialogue lands at angles you don't expect, but that's exactly what makes it feel like discovering something before anyone else decided it mattered.

Adapted from the role-playing game Legend of Xanadu, this single-episode OVA mixes fantasy adventure with comedy. The wicked magician Reichswar kills the King so he can claim a magic crystal, and he plans to use its power to rule all of Xanadu. Princess Rieru is abducted. A courageous young warrior sets out to save her, carrying the enchanted sword Dragonslayer. Viewers who like sword-and-sorcery quests with a comedic streak will find that combination here.
