It dangles the Inuyasha you loved just out of reach and dares you to keep watching anyway. Towa is the emotional hook: a half-demon raised in modern Tokyo by Sota Higurashi, getting suspended for fighting, then dropped back into the feudal era to find a twin sister who genuinely does not remember her. Setsuna's stolen sleep, courtesy of the Dream Butterfly, is the best idea the show has, and Moroha is the reason it stays fun, a broke bounty hunter with Kagome's mouth and Inuyasha's temper who smears on rouge and goes full Beniyasha. The soundtrack still hits those familiar Sengoku strings, the demon designs are clean, and then the plotting wanders off a cliff. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha show up like celebrity cameos instead of fathers. You will keep watching for the girls, and you will yell at the screen about it.

Twin sisters Towa and Setsuna are torn apart by a forest fire in feudal Japan. Towa tumbles through a mysterious tunnel into present-day Japan, where Sota Higurashi, Kagome's brother, and his family raise her. Ten years later the tunnel reopens, and Towa is reunited with Setsuna, now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. To Towa's shock, her sister has no memory of her at all. Joined by Moroha, a bounty hunter and the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel back and forth between the two eras, trying to undo Setsuna's memory loss and learn the truth about their linked destinies. The result is an action-filled fantasy adventure that spans two time periods.
