A kid with nothing but a photograph chases his missing father across the galaxy, one tour group at a time. YAT is that rare 90s adventure that lets you breathe between the weird, slice-of-life moments ground the sci-fi instead of interrupting it. Goro's search never feels urgent enough to stop him from actually living, and that's exactly what makes it matter.
Goro Hoshiwata is a space traveler searching for his missing father, whose whereabouts are a mystery. His only clue is an old photograph. A dimensional tunnel has opened a new era in which people can travel to planets beyond the solar system, and Goro signs on with YAT (Yamamoto Anshin Travel), a young company that runs tours to other worlds. During his journey an accident destroys the spaceship, and to make up for it he has to work for YAT. That sets off a string of space adventures, including a tour that warps the crew into an unknown region of space ruled by beings called the Gannon. The crew must find a way to defeat them and get back home. The series is a 50-episode sci-fi adventure comedy.
