The comedy doesn't try to make sense. Natsumi and Miyuki are a perfectly calibrated machine for turning the absurd into something that lands harder because it commits completely. These 20 minutes don't build to anything except the next joke, and that's exactly what they should be doing.

Two policewomen patrol Tokyo's streets out of Bokuto Police Station, and they approach the job in very different ways. Natsumi is free-spirited and brings grit and raw strength to every case. Miyuki Kobayakawa is the mechanical expert, relying on her driving skill and technical know-how. Best friends as well as partners, they face a strange parade of offenders: purse-snatchers, speeders, high-tech underwear thieves, peeping toms and even a ghostly flasher. Across 20 short episodes, each case tends to bring fresh chaos, and the pair sometimes turn to unconventional methods to set things right. Between arrests, Natsumi has to wonder whether her money will stretch until her next paycheck. The show pairs light action with broad comedy.
