Yuga doesn't care about the Yu-Gi-Oh! legacy, he just wants to blow it up and make dueling fun again. The animation budget shows up inconsistently, but it doesn't matter when you're watching a kid in a baseball cap destroy tournament tradition one chaotic duel at a time.

Yuga is a fifth-grader who loves inventing things and dueling, living in the futuristic city of Gouha, which the Gouha Corporation oversees. He finds the established way of playing Duel Monsters rigid and predictable, so he does the unthinkable: he rewrites the rules entirely. His new format, called Rush Duel, makes matches faster and more frantic. It's pure adrenaline. His ambition draws the interest of Tatsuhisa Kamijou, another elementary school student, who brings him to a mysterious place to test what the new system can do. Now Yuga and his friends set out to show everyone how much fun Rush Duels can be, all while the Gouha Corporation keeps a close eye on them. His goal is to make Rush Duel the new standard and make dueling exciting again.
