A group of girls in an etiquette club stumble into piloting giant robots and just roll with it, treating world-saving like another club obligation. The 90s visual charm and deadpan delivery make the absurdity land, there's no pretense, no grand narrative weight, just the comedy of normal teenagers in ridiculous armor solving weird problems. At St. Ignacio's School for Girls, the members of the Etiquette Club take a trip down the tubes, quite literally, and come out in skimpy outfits as "Extars," pilots of cutting-edge military mecha known as Battle Skippers. Their mission is to rid the world of evil, which in practice means foiling the strange plots of Sayaka, the spiteful and extremely rich head of the rival Debutante Club, along with her sidekick Todo. Schoolgirl squabbles grow into battles fought with satellite weaponry in this three-part comedy mecha OVA, made to promote a line of Tomy robot toys.
