Earth in 2010 becomes a battleground when Draias, a malevolent energy creature from space who calls himself the Space Emperor, arrives with destructive intentions. He teams up with Dr. Jango, an evil scientist, to spread chaos and ruin the planet. Fighbird, commander of the Space Police, pursues him to Earth with his unit. On arrival, Fighbird merges with an android body built by Dr. Hiroshi Amano and takes the name Yuutarou Katori. Passing as the professor's awkward, bespectacled assistant, he struggles to fit in with human ways, but his manner changes sharply whenever Draias's mechanical beasts attack. His team inhabits Earth vehicles to fight alongside him, and Dr. Amano's grandchildren Kenta and Haruka, who admire Katori, stay close by. Meanwhile Dr. Amano faces an old rivalry with his former colleague Jango in this action-packed giant robot science fiction adventure, the second entry in the Brave series.
