This is a card game anime that refuses to treat its own mythology like window dressing. The Zeroth Dragons aren't just power-ups for climactic battles, they're the actual problem the characters have to think through, and the show trusts you to sit with that weight. Watching teenagers realize they can't just win their way out of an existential threat is the real game being played.

The fourth season of the Cardfight!! Vanguard G series brings a new threat to Earth. Diffriders from Planet Cray, known as the Apostles, come down to the planet with one goal: to bring back Gyze, the Dragon Deity of Destruction, a being that lays waste to everything. To carry out their invasion, the Apostles draw on the power of six Zeroth Dragons. The season mixes action, adventure and fantasy.
