A year later and Tsubasa's still out here converting strangers into baseball believers through sheer infectious love of the game. This special arrives with no stakes, no tournament arc waiting, just a team that knows exactly who they are to each other. That's the whole point: nine people who had nothing in common except one girl's refusal to let them quit, now playing because they want to, not because they have to.

In the original series, Tsubasa loves baseball so much that she starts her high school's baseball club on her own and works to recruit players, some brand new to the sport and some returning to it. This special serves as the thirteenth episode of the Cinderella Nine TV anime, a bonus included for buyers of the collector's edition Blu-ray. Fans of the original sports series get one more chance to spend time with the team, held together by their love of the game and the friendships they have built.
