Two legendary properties collide and the animators treat it like a showcase, not a obligation. Every fight sequence swallows the screen whole, and the Devilman transformation alone justifies the runtime. The story exists mostly to string together these moments, which means if you're watching for character arcs you'll walk away empty, but if you came to see what happens when you give a studio real budget and real passion for both franchises, this delivers.

Demons turn out to exist in Tokyo, and the original Cyborg team, headed by Dr. Gilmore, learns of them. The cyborgs come into conflict with Devilman, a powerful demon they believe may be allied with Black Ghost, a terrorist group that profits from war. A larger danger then appears: Dr. Adams, a scientist working for Black Ghost, sends a new line of cyborg models against 009 and his companions. The OVA runs three episodes and mixes action, science fiction and the supernatural.
