Three monstrous dragons wake after eons asleep far below the ground. They surge up to the surface and begin a savage assault on humankind, preying on the weak and growing stronger from the souls of those they kill. Only the ancient god Takegami, the Guardian of Darkness, has the power to defeat them. The problem is that Takegami lives inside a mortal body, and its human host has little wish to fight.
