In 1999, a team of UN scientists working on a deserted island called Sansara tries to harness a new energy source. Without realizing it, they open a gateway to another universe and release biomechanical beings that had lain dormant there. Three years later, Takuya Goroza heads back to Sansara after a mysterious request from Haruka Alford, a friend from his college days. His old friend, however, is not what he seems.
