Nobody talks about this one. A single episode where Gainax animators treated a music video like a short film, building a sci-fi world that feels lived-in and purposeful instead of decorative. The track doesn't just sit over images; the visuals and sound move together like they were always meant to be the same thing. If you've ever felt the difference between a song with a video and a song that has been animated, you'll recognize what happened here.

DATA NO.6 is a single-episode animated music video that accompanies Fence of Defense's track Data No. 6. Gainax produced the animation, and the short carries a science fiction genre label.
