Taiki doesn't wait for the perfect moment to save people, he acts, and the Digital World breaks him for it. Every fusion feels earned because the show never separates power from cost; combining Digimon doesn't make you stronger, it makes you committed. This is Digimon doing what it does best: building a team that matters more than any individual evolution, then asking those kids to hold it together while everything tries to tear them apart.

Taiki Kudou, a cheerful seventh grader who always steps in when someone needs help, hears a call for aid from a wounded Digimon named Shoutmon. With an unusual device known as a Xros Loader, he saves Shoutmon, but he is pulled into the Digital World along with his friends Akari Hinomoto and Zenjirou Tsurugi. There they join Shoutmon and other local Digimon to form an army called Xros Heart, using DigiXros to boost their Digimon's power. The Digital World is caught in a large-scale war, with rival teams fighting for dominance and the evil Bagra Army hunting the 108 fragments of the Code Crown, which would make their holder king. Xros Heart sets out to gather the fragments and bring the Bagra down, but other humans are also drawn into the fighting. The show mixes action and adventure with comedy.
