The animation is doing things Toriyama's manga never could, with color and movement that make even basic scenes feel alive in ways Super never managed. Glorio's presence turns what could've been a nostalgia cash-in into an actual adventure again, not just strong characters solving problems with strength. It commits to being Dragon Ball before it became a tournament engine, when magic and exploration mattered more than who could hit harder.

Goku and his allies are enjoying a hard-earned peace after the fight with Majin Buu when a conspiracy turns them small. Gomah, who has claimed the throne of the Demon Realm since Dabura's death, teams up with Degesu, the envious younger brother of the Supreme Kai of the East, to take Earth's Dragon Balls. Through the dragon Shenron, Gomah wishes the heroes back into children to strip away their power, then carries off Dende, Earth's god. Goku refuses to let his new size hold him back. He trains to fight in his younger body, reaching once more for his Power Pole. With the Supreme Kai and Glorio, a mysterious young Majin who seems to defy the demons, he heads into the Demon Realm to rescue Dende and return everyone to their proper ages. The result is an action adventure set in an unfamiliar, mysterious world.
