Ein starts as the anime equivalent of a punching bag, so despised he apologizes for existing. The moment Yuuri hands him actual power, the show knows exactly what fantasy it's selling: the rush of watching someone stop crawling. It's harem comfort food with competent pacing and a cast charming enough that you don't resent the screen time, even when the plot moves like a checklist.

Ein was born with the Appraiser job, the weakest of all classes, which lets him do nothing but appraise things. Scorned by everyone and reduced to picking up litter for his fellow adventurers, he has come to hate himself. When a dungeon expedition goes wrong, his allies use him as bait and he falls into the abyss, where he is saved by Yuuri, spirit of the World Tree, and Ursula, the sage who guards her. Yuuri gives him a Spirit Eye that lets him read an opponent's moves and gain skills without limit, and Ursula trains him to use it. Growing stronger, Ein sets out with them so Yuuri can finally meet her World Tree's sisters, facing each challenge with kindness and newfound courage in a fantasy adventure mixing action, comedy and romance.
