Natsu and the guild crash into a mystery that doesn't pretend to be anything more than an excuse to wreck things beautifully. The animation burns brighter here than the show ever gets, the fights stretch across actual space, the soundtrack knows exactly when to hit you. It's a Fairy Tail movie that understands what you came for: characters you already love fighting harder than they have to, against a threat that barely matters because watching them do it is the point.

Éclair arrives before Fairy Tail with no memories, knowing only that she must carry two Phoenix Stones to a place she can barely recall. The stones are said to hold the power of an ancient phoenix, and they may bring about the collapse of the magical world. Natsu Dragneel and his friends offer to help her learn the truth about the stones. During their journey, Éclair is attacked and a stone is taken from her, revealing a plot to revive the blazing phoenix for its power. The guild must now band together to stop the revival and save the world. The film blends action, adventure, comedy and fantasy.
