A fudanshi gets isekai'd into his own BL fantasy and spends the whole thing trying not to become the bottom he spent years reading about. Four minutes of pure genre self-awareness, built for people who already know exactly why this premise is hilarious. By season four, the show isn't trying to convince you it's clever, it's just living in the joke with you.

Fudanshi Shoukan: Isekai de Shinjuu ni Hameraremashita returns for a fourth season of its mini anime, a three-episode comedy ONA from 2022. The franchise centers on Kotone, a fudanshi killed by a runaway truck while buying BL manga, who wakes in an ancient Asian-style palace. There Nagi, a man who is half serpent, names him his Miko, since the two must sleep together for Nagi to become a dragon. Kotone, sure he knows which role BL tropes have in store for him, is determined to use that knowledge to avoid both falling in love and ending up the bottom.
