A high school kid wakes up one day knowing how to pilot a machine he's never seen before, and nobody can explain why. The show doesn't waste time on origin mystery or chosen one speeches, it puts him in a competition against classmates who have the same inexplicable skill, forcing him to figure out what he actually is while proving he belongs. Mecha test pilot combat becomes psychological warfare when the person you're fighting sat next to you in homeroom yesterday.

Kananase Yu is an ordinary high school student with a mysterious inside knowledge of how to pilot a mecha. Because of it, the International Military Organization recruits him as a possible test pilot for a new mobile armor. He soon learns he is not the only one: other young recruits close to his age have been brought in for the same role, one of them a classmate of his. Now Yu has to show that he is the best choice for the pilot's seat. The story is a mecha science fiction series about this competition to become the test pilot.
