SYNOPSIS
Gorou Joe spends his days in Gujo Hachiman, a quiet town nestled in Gifu prefecture where tradition runs deep and nothing much ever changes. That is, until a mysterious water fairy materializes before him with an unusual request: help the people around you. As proof of her sincerity, the fairy grants Joe a remarkable ability. With a simple transformation, he becomes GJ8 Man, a pun-riddled superhero whose name mirrors his hometown in the most literal way possible. Now Joe juggles his ordinary teenage life with extraordinary responsibility. By day he's just another kid in town. By night, or whenever trouble calls, he's a caped defender ready to assist whoever needs him. The catch is that his powers tie directly to his community, his home, and the water that flows through it all. What unfolds is a lighthearted action-comedy that treats heroism not as saving the world, but as showing up for your neighbors. Comedy and genuine heroism collide as Joe discovers that being a superhero in a small town means something entirely different than the big-budget adventures in comic books.
