A boy photographs the world because he can't quite live in it, then sketches what he's stolen to make it bearable. Reality keeps interrupting, the girl he's built in his head walks past with someone else, and the gap between what he imagined and what actually exists becomes the entire story. This is a film about the specific loneliness of being sixteen and convinced that if you could just capture the right moment, frame it correctly, understand it deeply enough through art, the girl might finally be the one you drew. It won't be. The film knows this before you do.

A middle school boy has a habit of taking photos of things that appeal to him and then drawing pictures of them. On his usual way home, he spots the girl he likes together with another boy. Throughout, the line between his delusions and what is real keeps shifting. This psychological romance film was made in 2014 by Ryosuke Oshiro as his graduate work in animation at Tokyo University of the Arts.
