The Gunpla designs move like they weigh something real, and the tournament bracket keeps you coming back even when the story beats feel familiar. The soundtrack doesn't just accompany the battles, it makes you feel the momentum of each match. This is comfort food for people who loved the original, not because it reinvents anything, but because it knows exactly what you came for and executes it with genuine craft.

Seven years after Iori Sei's victory at the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, Seiho Academy's Gunpla Battle Club is down to a single member: its president, middle schooler Hoshino Fumina. The All-Japan Championship is coming up, and teams need three players, so she can't enter alone. Then she meets Kamiki Sekai, a transfer student and martial artist who has been traveling with his master. Once young builder Kousaka Yuuma joins them, Team Try Fighters finally has three members and can begin its challenge. The show blends comedy with mecha action, as players pit custom plastic models against each other in battle.
