The wish backfires perfectly: Youto can't stop saying perverted things, Tsukiko can't stop being honest, and suddenly they're stuck together fixing everyone else's wishes instead of their own. The show plays this for genuine laughs without ever letting you forget these two are actually broken, which means the romance sneaks up on you between the absurdity. It swings wildly between stupid comedy and real character moments, and yeah, that's messy, but it's also what makes you actually care when things get quiet.

Youto Yokodera, a second-year high school student, is full of lewd thoughts, yet a false front he can't seem to drop means nobody recognizes him as a pervert. When his friend Ponta tells him about the Stony Cat Statue, said to grant wishes, Youto goes to pray for a life without pretense or lies. At the statue he meets Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, a girl from his school, who wishes her emotions would not show on her face so easily. Because they don't take the statue seriously, it grants both wishes far too literally. Tsukiko loses all facial expression, while Youto blurts out whatever he thinks and soon earns the nickname Pervert Prince. The two join forces to undo what happened. Adapted from Sagara Sou's light novels, the show is a supernatural romantic comedy.
