The cards don't just give powers, they rewrite the people who hold them, and season two forces Finn to watch his friends fracture under that weight. The show earned enough trust in season one to spend this arc breaking what it built, letting character arcs collapse and reform into something sharper than before. A kid trying to save an orphanage learned the price was always going to be higher than money.

Finn's story with the X-Playing Cards continues in this second season of the action fantasy HIGH CARD. The pickpocket works with High Card, a covert team devoted to guarding and gathering the 52 cards, which lie spread throughout the kingdom of Fourland. Each card gives its holder a superhuman ability drawn from the "buddy" within them. While moonlighting at the luxury car company Pinochle, the team must race rival automaker Who's Who to claim the cards first.
