Kyousougiga burns through five episodes like it has nothing to prove, spinning wildly between absurdist comedy and genuine heartbreak with zero interest in explaining itself. Each episode peels back a different character's relationship to this impossible city, and by the time you realize there was a story underneath the chaos all along, you're already committed. Three kids end up stranded in a strange city, and they leave massive mayhem behind them wherever they go. Their hope of getting home rests on tracking down an unusual rabbit. Koto, the oldest of the three, appears to share some kind of link with this odd place. The city is ruled by a monk, a demon and a priest.
