Four 19-year-old women, Fubuki, Mafuyu, Rin and Nayuta, want to make it as professional comedians, polishing their routines between part-time jobs. Mafuyu and Fubuki have spent a long time on stage performing manzai, the two-person Japanese comedy style built on a straight man and a funny man, yet real success keeps slipping away. Newcomers Rin and Nayuta, their close friends, often help warm up the crowd before each other's sets. For now they play small shows in Shibuya, trying new venues, swapping roles and entering contests, all aiming for the famed Namba Grand Kagetsu stage. The result is a lighthearted slice-of-life comedy about how hard it is to be funny.
