Comedy acts are a language, and this show speaks it fluently in a way that demands you actually know the words. The absurdist timing never stops moving long enough for a joke to land soft, which means every gag either explodes or collapses, no middle ground. If you don't speak Japanese comedy rhythm or know what manzai actually is, entire layers disappear. But if you do, the show becomes a relentless machine designed to make you laugh at something genuinely strange happening in a Osaka dorm room. Two girls reuniting to chase a stupid dream in a stupid way, doing the work that real comedians do. That's the whole show, and it refuses to apologize for how specific that makes it.

Yayoi Sakamoto, who adores comedians and every kind of comedy act, enrolls at Kazuki, a private high school in Nanba, the Osaka entertainment district known as a launching pad for comedy careers. There she meets up again with Yomogi Takahashi, the childhood friend she once performed with as the little comedy duo Konamonzu. The two soon start working out a routine in a park, just as they did as kids, hoping to enter a contest run by a neighborhood shopping street. Just then, a mysterious girl approaches them and speaks up. Yayoi, Yomogi and their friend Yuzu Hosono go on to form the trio Young Wai-Wai and reach the final round of the Teppen Grand Prix, a stand-up competition whose finalists stay in a well-known dorm that housed plenty of earlier comedians. Expect a light comedy built around everyday school life.
