Lent possesses a rare Gift: he can lend huge reserves of magic to others, powering their spells and techniques. As a member of the rising adventuring party called the Skypiercers, he helps his companions grow into formidable heroes through that support. Once they are strong, though, the party begins to doubt his worth and throws him out, leaving Lent enraged. Then he discovers a hidden side to his Gift that lets him take the magic back. Joined by a devious fairy partner, Lent sets out to recover every bit of magic he lent his former party, and to collect interest on top of it. The result is an action fantasy adventure in an RPG-style world of swords and sorcery.
