Nike and Kukuri's chemistry is built on the fact that he's genuinely stupid and she's genuinely exasperated, which never stops being funny even when the stakes flip to actual danger. The movie doesn't waste time pretending the Pickle of Happiness is anything but an excuse to watch a goofy party reunite and fall into exactly the same disasters that made them work as kids. A dragon guardian, a wish that probably shouldn't be granted, and the kind of escalating chaos that only happens when people who love each other stop thinking and just start acting.

The hero Nike and the magic user Kukuri hear about the Pickle of Happiness, an item that grants a wish to whoever eats it. Monsters are after it too, so the pair must get there first. Old friends join them on the way, and at the end of the road waits a dragon that guards the Pickle and has to be persuaded to give it up. This feature-length film is a comic fantasy adventure.
