The magic system finally stops being window dressing and becomes the reason you're watching. Three episodes of pure escalation where the training arc pays off and every character you've invested in across the manga gets a moment that matters. This is what the anime adaptation never gave you: the actual climax, animated correctly, with the romance subplot treated like it belongs in the same story as the action.
Having stopped Chao Lingshen's plan to expose the existence of mages to the whole world, Negi Springfield forms a combat team called Ala Alba, meaning White Wing. Backed by Evangeline A.K. McDowell, several of his students and a few friends, he sets his sights on the Magus world, where he hopes to find his missing father, Nagi Springfield. Before departing, the team readies itself through hard training, outings to the beach and visits to hot springs. These three OVA episodes adapt chapters 176 to 183 of Akamatsu Ken's manga Negima! Magister Negi Magi and were packaged with limited editions of manga volumes 23 through 25, mixing action, adventure, comedy, romance and ecchi elements.
