Kanako's allergic reaction to boys is played completely straight, which means watching her get repeatedly destroyed by a cross-dressing trap who lives in her dorm becomes hilarious catastrophe. The comedy doesn't come from "gotcha, he's a boy" cheap shots. It comes from Mariya and Matsurika methodically dismantling her every delusion while she's stuck sharing a room with the one person designed to make her life impossible. Kanako Miyamae, a high school girl who is allergic to boys, enrolled at an all-girls school hoping to find a girlfriend. Her ideal candidate, the beautiful Mariya Shidou, turned out to be a cross-dressing boy, and she has been stuck as his roommate ever since. Now the story continues. Mariya takes mischievous delight in making her life difficult, and his sharp-tongued maid Matsurika joins in, so Kanako faces constant teasing and trouble. She still daydreams about the girl of her dreams without any luck, while the pair keep testing her grip on reality day after day. The result is a comedy about chasing romance while two meddlers make sure it never goes to plan, all as Kanako tries to get through high school itself.
