In the year 20XX, nine young rookie ninjas known as the Ninja Gum Kids share one goal: becoming master ninjas. Each descends from a ninja clan that has mysteriously vanished. Across five episodes, this action fantasy ONA turns to a different character. Van, a gifted basketball player, races to his father after a nightmare and sees him attacked by a ninja. Lucy, a kind girl who protects her friends, awakens her powers while stopping bullies and then withdraws to hide them. Jane, a hacker for the WNA, digs into the network for data on a mysterious substance called Ninja-Gum. Kappei trains in swordsmanship with his grandfather in Iga until assassins come hunting shinobi secrets. Emma is a street dancer who fights crime at night, and her life shifts when a talent scout named Lauren Warren takes an interest in her.
