A human wakes up as a Pokémon with no memory and no choice. Within minutes, he's in a rescue mission fighting a legendary steel bird, learning that the world is falling apart and he might be the reason why. The special never stops moving long enough for you to ask questions that would wreck the premise, so you don't, you just follow Squirtle into Team Go-Getters' chaos and let it carry you. It's the exact energy of the games: stumbling into a mystery, forming a team, and finding out you matter in a world that's actively ending. The pacing works because it treats this like a real disaster, not a cartoon adventure where everything resolves neatly by the credits.

A human wakes to find himself turned into a Squirtle in a world beset by natural disasters. There he meets Charmander and Chikorita, who make up Team Go-Getters, a group of Pokémon who carry out rescues. Squirtle signs on with them to save Pikachu, the brother of Pichu, from Skarmory. Gengar and his Team Meanies choose to get in the way. The one-episode special is a fantasy adventure set in the Mystery Dungeon side of the Pokémon world.
