The mundane work of finding someone a home becomes genuinely moving when you realize every apartment listing is a second chance. RPG Real Estate takes the CGDCT formula and replaces the aimless hang-out energy with actual purpose, letting quiet moments between Kotone and her coworkers matter because they're solving real problems for people who need it. The show almost ruins itself with a forced drama arc at the end, but those first nine episodes prove that slice-of-life doesn't need spectacle to be worth your time, just characters who care about something beyond themselves.
SYNOPSIS
Kotone just graduated and landed what seemed like her dream job as a mage. Turns out she's actually working at RPG Real Estate, a kingdom-approved housing agency that matches adventurers with their perfect homes. Alongside Fa, a quirky demi-human; Rufuria, a soft-spoken priest; and Rakira, a sword-wielding soldier, Kotone spends her days solving the bizarre housing problems of fantasy world clients. A dragon needs a place with high ceilings? They've got it covered. A retired hero looking for quiet? They'll find something peaceful. A cursed mansion nobody else will touch? Challenge accepted. Fifteen years have passed since the demon king fell, and the world has settled into something resembling normalcy. That peace means everyday problems now matter: rent, commutes, noisy neighbors, suspicious floor layouts. What makes this special isn't the comedy of impossible clients or ridiculous properties, though there's plenty of that. It's how genuinely these four care about matching people with homes that feel right, treating real estate like the deeply human work it actually is.
